What Is Meant By Presence Of Epithelial Cells In Vaginal Fluid?

a friend of mine (male) did a test and was told that he has Gonorrhea. However when his partner went for a test, the vaginal fluid tested revealed negative results but they there was presence of epithelial cells. How is this possible, was there a wrong diagnosis for one with Gonorrhea. What is the meaning of the epithelial cells in the female partner. Could it be indicative of something

I really appreciate your concern, it is not the case that once the partner is negative then another partner should be negative too, and this is not the criteria for this, if he is positive for gonorrhoea then it is positive one and this can not be compare in this way, hope this information helps, take care.
