What Is Meaning Of No Dysmorphic Rbc Seen In Urinalysis?

dr doc, i am 44 years old 5'4'' , 136 pounds and 2 mons pregnant. I was hospitalize for almost 4 days due to vaginal bleeding. i took zinnat 500mg for 7 days. Yesterday i got my urinalysis result and this is the findings.

transparency turbid

ph 5.0

specific gravity 1.020

leukocytes & erythrocytes are both positive the rest are negative and normal.

cells:

red blood cell over100/hpf

pus cell 2-5/hpf

squamous cell ++++

bacteria ++

mucus threads +

remarks no dysmorphic rbc seen



Doc. pls. help i am very much confused and scared.

hi you have wbc and rbc in urine. wbc count is just 2 to 5 which is normally present. so no need to worrry. you have plenty of rbc in urine it means blood present in urine. however no any dysmorphic rbc means rbc morphology in your blood is normal. it means bleeding mostly from lower tract or may be your vaginal bleeding get mixed with urine. because in kidney bleeding or upper tract bleeding RBC becomes dysmorphic. you have normal rbc. mostly it is due to your vaginal bleeding. so dont worry. just consult your doctor once and take treatment accordingly.
