What Is Irregular Flow Of Blood In Brain Vessels Termed As?

My great niece was hospitalized in ICU for a brain vascular problem where the blood did not flow correctly in this area of her brain causing great pain and function disturbance. No previous brain injury, possibly a genetic problem. What is the correct terminology for this.

The most common causes and names for these would be an AVM or arteriovenous malformation which means that the blood vessels in the brain didn't fully develop or developed abnormally.

If this was an acute lack of bloodflow the most proper term would be an ischemic stroke.
