What Is Extreme Pain In The Uterus During Intercourse Suggestive Of?

This is not a dirty joke. I have extreme pain with deep penetration during sex. It is painful in one particular spot. My gynecologist examined me and said that my uterus is where the pain is. She has scheduled an ultrasound. What could be causing that pain in my uterus?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Pain during intercourse could be due to adenomyosis/fibroid, tick endometrium, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, hormonal imbalance, ovarian dysfunction
I would suggest to consult the gynecologist and undergo reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan and ovarian follicle study to confirm the cause
Specific treatment will depend on the cause and test results
So pelase go forward with above advise.
Avoid stress and anxiety while have sex
Use vagisil cream and K-Y gel before the sexual intercourse
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene before and after sex
Hope this may help you

Contact further if follow up needed
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
