What Is Dermatillomania?

Hello! What was first diagnosed as a rash due to severe seasonal allergies has now been identified as something called dermatillomania , (pls forgive the spelling)...What is it? Where does it come from? How can I get rid of it? Its ugly and painful and frightening and has me more stressed out and upset than ever! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sincere Thanks, Julie in Texas
