What Is Causing Tiredness While Walking, Swollen And Sore Tongue And Ringing In Ears?

I feel tired all the time the least bit of a walk and I am exhausted. I am overweight, I have an underactive thyroid, not an excuse for my weight (16st) just saying. My bloods are clear apart from high MCHC, my tongue is swollen and sore, I feel as if I am going to burst out of my skin (sides and stomach). I sometimes get a odd feeling from my heart (ecg clear) and recently I sometimes can t catch my breath just when talking. I was a very active person up until 4 years ago (also 6st lighter) when I got diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, on 135mg of eltroxin have never felt any difference. I also sometimes have ringing in my ears. I know it sounds like I have the symptoms for everything. Please if anyone could help I would be very grateful, I am 42.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tiredness while walking, swollen and sore tongue and ringing in ears which is due to upper respiratory tract infection and it could be strep throat as well. Visit ENT specialist once and get some routine blood investigation done. Go for thorough examination and go for ear examination by otoscope. Take diet rich in multivitamins. Gargle warm saline rinses and apply warm compresses on external ear. Apply numbing orabase gel on tongue and take multivitamin supplement. You should take steam inhalation through the nose and mouth will help including the ear discomfort. Avoid carbonated beverages. Drink plenty of water as well.
