What Is Causing Painful Foot And Leg Cramps During Night?
Hi, I have been suffering with night leg and foot cramping that is very painful and takes me some time to rub it out and get that horrible pain away. What am I missing in my diet that is causing these terrible nightly pains in my feet and mostly both legs? Carol

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. Muscle cramps can be reduced by Massaging the cramped muscle with your hands or oil. Drinking plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. Stretching your leg muscles or riding a stationary cycle. Taking diet rich in calcium and potassium or oral supplements of the same. Check your vit B12 and Vit D 3 levels. Till time, avoid exertion, you can consult physiotherapist for help. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
