What Is Cardiac Ablation?

My brother-in-law has heart ablation. Has 10 pct after ablation. What does that mean This is what my niece told me: the ablation was 50% successful. It took nearly 5 hours and they found a second arrhythmia which they were not able to treat. We also found out that his EF is down to 10%. He got phlebitis again from the IVs but is home since Thursday Can you explain?

HI
Well com to HCM
Cardiac ablation done for correction of heart rhythm which is not responding to drugs, if the ejection fraction is low then underlying contractility defects need to be corrected and this should be around 60 % in healthy person, hope this information helps.
