What Is A White Patch In The Mouth?

i am 37 years , male having a white patch in my mouth near right lower gum since last 3 years. no pain , not increased in size, reduces itself sometimes, seen prominent during stressful period, after smoking, alcohol, less prominent in absence of these conditions.plz. guide me.

Hello ,

Thanks for consulting HCM,

Read your query as you have white patch in mouth this can be white lesion like leukoplakia , or keratination due to habit of smoking , or stress induced lichen planus .
Dont be worried so much I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon for examination of lesion and if needed go for investigation cytology or biopsy to confirm the diagnosis .

Inmeantime maintain oral hygiene and you can apply ointment like Kenacort or Tess buccal paste on patch .
