I had a weak positive to Ri antibody level in a Nuclear autoantibody screen test. Is this associated to Cerebellar Ataxia, Opsoclonus/Myoclonus and Brainstem Encephalomyelitis? Shall I ask to see a Neurologist and also request a lumber puncture? I also had a panel of Anti-nuclear Ab s (ANA) taken from a different source and these came back negative, are these the same as Nuclear autoantibody Ri antibody? My symptoms are; involuntary jerking of upper body before falling asleep, loss of total feeling in fingers or pins and needles in arms or hands when asleep (which wakes me up), severe cramps in bed, headaches, severe abdominal pains (unexplained non specific inflammation in intestines), inflammed rib cage, full body pain frequently, dizziness, nausea, chronic fatigue, loud tinnitus, chest pain, internal tremors and general feeling weak and ill. I have had a colonoscopy and endoscopy which showed a hiatus hernia and gastritis in my stomach and inflammation in my colon. I have also had an abdominal MRI. The inflammation in the colon was diagnosed as non specific gastrointestinal problems. I have also previously been diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency (large doses were taken for 10 weeks to counteract this at the beginning of 2016, Osteopenia a few years ago, a bout of Labyrinthitis at the end of 2015 and Thyroiditis for the whole of 2013, extremely ill which also gave me severe pain in the tail bone area (amongst other things) the thyroid function has been stable since 2 years. I take Amitriptyline 10mg, Co-codamol (but I just take paracetamol now), Ranitdinde 150mg twice a day. Age - 52 and Female. Thank you.
