What Is A Small Pea Sized, Skin Colored Bump On The Philtrum?

I have this skin coloured hard bump on my philtrum. It s been there for a while, but it doesn t cause any pain or irritations. You cant really see it unless I stretch my lip. It s like a small pea sized ball under my skin. What is it and how can I get rid of it?

Hi..
Thanks for writing to us..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain a painless skin coloured bump on the philtrum that is apparent only when you stretch the lip can be due to hypertrophied sebaceous gland..
There is also a possibility that there is formation of sebaceous cyst..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or a general physician and get evaluated..

In case if there is hypertrophy of sebaceous gland then it is a harmless condition and it needs to be removed only iif it causes cosmetic problems like if it effects your looks..

In that can laser assisted removal can help..

Hope your query is resolved..

Regards..
