What Is A Red And Itchy Welt On My Butt Cheek?

I have an itchy red welt on the upper part of my butt cheek. it resembles a large mosquito bite. but it just came up over night. cortisone cream seems to help. I have had this happen twice. it doesn t spread. it lasts a few days then dries up. sometimes scabbing

Such sudden eruption on body are most likely due to mosquito bite.
In such cases, i usually advise my patients to apply a combination of antibiotic and steroidal cream over the lesions initially. For symptomatic relief, antihistaminics like levocetrizine is given.
