What Is A Recurring Bulge Around The Lower Spine Suggestive Of?

I feel like I have a bulge next to my lower spine. At first I thought something was crawling on me, then the next day it was still there in the same area. I started icing it which lessens the feeling. In the next couple of days I hurt so bad that I took a Norco for the pain. The pain went away for several hours, then returned the next morning. I repeated the ice and Norco. This went on for two days, then went away. Three days later, it has returned.
