What Is A Painful Bruise Like Spot On The Sole Suggestive Of?

I have a painful spot on the palm of my foot. Showed up out of nowhere. Perfect circle about 2 inches diameter and darker in color but n I told really a bruise. Painful to walk on. Any suggestions. I have sOakes on Epsom salt it heLPS till I get up to walk.

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to inflammation or an infection. I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a foot X ray study

- complete blood count- PCR and ESR for inflammation

- uric acid plasma levels for hyperuricemia

- fasting glucose for diabetes.
