General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Tonsils are usually located in a pouch in the neck. so after tonsillectomy, the pouch become vacant and it looks from outer side as hole.

So no need to be worry it will gradually cover up. If any bleeding or infection are there then consult ASAP otherwise no need to worry as it's already 1 year.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
