yes, my wife has noticed a lump on the roof of her mouth. it does not hurt but id kinda hard. she noticed it about six months ago and now telling me about it. she has no pain and no fever. my wife took antibiotics a while back for some sort of infection. what do you think it could be?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of hard lump on the roof of the mouth. Well there can be many reasons for lump at the roof of the mouth like mucocele, torus palatinus, irritation of mucosa, tooth infection and some times cancerous condition.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid intake of sharp and spicy food. Do not touch or press it. You should consult oral pathologist for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan , blood tets , biopsy and examine it physically. Doctor may further extend the course of antibiotics along with anti inflammatory drug , surgically remove it or in case of any malignancy he/she may recommend radiation therapy. Get it examined properly once and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
