hi,
Lisinopril is a drug used for hypertension, belonging to class ACE inhibitors. It is also used in heart patients to prevent remodeling of heart and is an excellent drug in these patients.
The common side effects include cough, nausea, fatigue and itching, while other complications are rare. As you said she had a heart attack, she was probably kept on lisinopril. Do not discontinue the drug as it will have long term beneficial effects on heart. The cause of heart disease will be evaluated by your doctor.
hope this helped.
