What Is GERD And What Are The Symptoms To Look Out For?
GURD My doc told me I had gurd when I was 17 she never gave me meds for it or anything now im 24 and everytime I eat anything I had this shape pain kinda like someone is punching me in the stomach. Well the question is, is this gurd or something else?
Well come to HCM Thank for asking query, GERD (Gastroesophagus Reflux Disease) at the age of 17 years is less likely, although you have not mentioned the symptoms here, if it is the burning sensation (Heart burn ) you have then it may be the hyperacidity, if this is the epigastric pain then it may be due to the injury, as you said that you are now 24 years old, so the GERD may be likely and it is all depends upon the symptoms that you have, there is no specific test that can diagnosed the GERD but clinical decisions helps a lot in diagnosis, you can discuss about the therapy for GERD, and talk about the hyperacidity also, hope this information helps.
