What Is Cephalexin 500mg For?

My doctor just prescribed CEPHALEXIN in 500 MG Capsules. I have been seeing my foot doctor , but he s not the one who prescribed the medication. I can understand that he wanted the prescription to be approved by GP doctor, but it gives me concern. Can you elaborate? Thank you!

CEPHALEXIN is a cephalosporin antibiotic and used to cure gram positive and some gram negative infections.
Doctor gave you this tablet, because of might be infection in the feet.
You can ask you doctor for the same.
Take full and complete dose to prevent reinfection.
