What Does White Mark On Tongue Mean?

I have a outline of a small circle in white on the tip of my tongue and the area beside it is tender. I was told I must have bitten my tongue and it would go away. Also when I eat my tongue becomes irritated as if you ate something very hot. Any answers?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand..

As per your complain a small circle in white on tongue tip along with tenderness can be either a traumatic ulcer caused by tongue bite or can be a canker sore or apthous ulcer..
Both these conditions are self limiting and can resolve in a week or more..
You need not to worry as it does not look like anything serious..
You can apply a numbing gel containing Lignocaine, steroid oral paste, do warm saline gargles and suck on ice pops.
Take a multivitamin tablet for 15 days..
Avoid hot and spicy food and take a soft diet to prevent further irritation of tongue..
Maintain a good oral hygiene..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
