What Does White Discharge Around Clitoris After Taking Azithromycin For Chlamydia Signify?

got diagnoised with chlamydia and took azithromycin* 2 pills at once around 2 days ago . now there is this white build up around my clitoris. the itching and most symptoms have gone away. I still have little to no itching. but this white build up has me concerned . also when I wipe it seems to come out in the form of clumps . any help ?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the white discharge around clitoris.

After reading your query it appears to be due to fungal infection of the area. For the interim of help you can follow the suggestions below:

- Wash your vaginal area for two times in a day with plane water. Wash it very gently but properly.

- Wear cotton undergarments. Change these two times a day. Do not wear any synthetic or tight garments.

- If you are sexually active then avoid intercourse for few days.

- Do not use any strong soap or detergents over skin. Wear cotton clothes and avoid synthetic or woolen garments in direct contact of skin.

You may require anti-fungal treatment in form of clotrimazole or sertaconazole cream.
