What Does Well Defined Round Hypo Echoic Intraplacental Lesion Indicate?

Hi doctor,my wife age is 29 years and weight is 62.5kg and 27 WEEKS pregnant.

well defined round hypoechoic intraplacental lesion measuring 42 x 42 mm is noted adjacent to the cord insertion site(superiorly)the lesion is causing mild surface lobulation and is seen protruding into the aminoti cavity.AFI 20 CM

how serious is this condition.what should we do

The ultrasound description given by you favours the diagnosis of the Chorioangioma but the full report is important to look for more precise diagnosis.
The Chorioangioma condition is relatively not serious as such. This condition needs frequent interval ultrasound scan to monitor the progress of the lesion and to monitor polyhydramnios.
But consultation with a obstetrician is must to plan for further action.
