What Does Tlc Reading Of 11.9 Mean?

hello doctor,my husband's been diagnosed with having gout n ive just gotten his cbc report in which except for the tlc reading which is 11.9,evrything else seems to be within range.do let me know what this means and what needs to be done further on.

TLC stands for total leukocyte count.
TLC is elevated in cases of infection, inflammation or neoplastic conditions.
You have mentioned that you have suffered from a episode of gout.
Gout is an inflammatory condition.
An episode of gout is accompanied by increase in total leukocyte counts.
Thus, it is likely that the raised total leukocyte count is due to inflammation.
You need to wait till the menstrual symptoms disappear.
