What Does This X-ray Report Of Lungs Mean?

Good day! I m Jan from manila. I just had an x-ray last friday and i got the result yesterday. It says in the result that there are ill to fairly defined fibrocalcific opacities in the left upper lobe. And the impression is consider pulmonary fibrosis,upper lobe. My question is, am I able to work again in the cruise ship with this x-ray result?or it will affect my medical? Thank you in advance!

Dear- thanks for using our service and I understand your concern. A routine Cxr with ill to fairly defined fibrocalcific opacities in an asymptomatic patient is not significant of a medical condition. It is important that you don't have symptoms of pulmonary fibrosis, which are shortness of breath, cough and easy fatigability. I don't see any contraindications to keep working in the cruise ship. However, it is advisable to have a pulmonary function test to have a complete evaluation of your lung function.
