What Does This X-ray Report Mean?

I pick up x-rays of my Cervical Spine. I had Surgery on my Cervical Spine back in January of 2013. the Conclusion: 1. Postsurgical changes from anterior fusion and ventral instrumentation from C4-C7 with ventral compression plate and screws Present. 2. There is peri-screw lucency at C5 and C6 and slight ventral Placement of the compression plates, Indicative of Screw loosening. What does this all mean? what is peri-screw Lucency? and what is indicative of Screw loosening? gene bogan

I really appreciate your concern, over all report suggestive of plate and screws that was fit in spine are not in good position and their fitment is not good in position which is detected in x-ray, area around the screw is visible in x-ray and that is called the peri-screw lucency hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day
