General & Family Physician 's  Response
Widal test is done for typhoid fever. A single Widal test showing H and/or O titers more than or equal to 1:160 and typhoid-like symptoms is suggestive of typhoid fever. So your Widal test is negative for typhoid. Fever with joint pain is suggestive of viral infection. usually viral fever resolve in 7 – 10 days with supportive care only.
Advice
1.     Complete bed rest
2.     Paracetamol 500 mg if fever occurs
3.     Do not take aspirin for fever
4.     Take food properly
5.     Eat high protein diet such as eggs, chicken, pulses, fruits and vegetables
6.     Drink plenty 4 – 5 liters of uncontaminated water daily
5.     Investigations – Investigations – CBC, ESR, blood smear for malaria parasite, and dengue NS1 antigen
Thanks
