What Does This Vaginal Swab Test Result Indicate?

Hi docs!i have a result of a vaginal swab I did which revealed pus cells,epithelial cells,gram positive cocci,gram positive bacillus..no yeaat cells,no T.vaginalis seen.....culture yielded no growth however,i have been having this copious yellowish discharge for over 5yrs not itching,foul smelling...used several antibiotics but no improvement pls what could be the cause and the best form of treatment...thank you

Hi,

Let me tell you that the symptoms described by you suggest that you have Bacterial vaginosis. I would suggest taking antibiotic metronidazole 400mg. I also suggest antibiotics ointment apply locally. I recommend using Cotton undergarments and maintain good hygiene.
