What Does This Urine Test Result With History Of Kidney Stones Indicate?
My urine test shows rbc 4-10 and trace bacteria. My wife has had three uti s in last month and we have been intimate. I also have an infrequent history of kidney stones. Am scheduled for kidney ultrasound and a bladder scope procedure. Of course I do not want to do the scope if I can avoid it. What are thoughts?
Hi Sir, your urine examination definitely indicates that you have urinary tract infection, which needs treatment. People with urinary tract infection is more prone for development of kidney stones as infection is one of the cause known to precipitate the development of stones. Hence the advice is to get your infection treated effectively by getting your urine and culture sensitivity investigation done so that you will know the organism and sensitive drug to combat infection. in the mean time better to get non-invasive procedure done for evaluation such as an ultrasound. Then depending on the finding whether stone is present or not, if present what size and site, further course of treatment can by instituted. Keep yourself well hydrated by taking plenty of fluids, tender coconut and citrus fruit juices.
