What Does This Ultrasound Test Result For Gall Bladder Indicate?

Hi dr charles s narasi, i am raquel and i want to ask about the result of my ultrasound in my gallbladder, a 0.21cm diameter echogenic focus is seen on its anterior wall with comet tail artifact, and diffuse liver parenchymal disease and gallbladder cholesterol crytals.. thank you

Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
From the ultrasound report what you have posted, it says that you are having 'gall stone disease'.
There are gall stones which has been noted in gall bladder and because of back pressure to the liver, it has affected the liver as well.
It would be advisable to undergo laproscopic cholecystectomy to remove gall stones.
Also, kindly abstain from intake of alcohol (if you are alcoholic) and consume less fatty diet.
