What Does This Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

hi,iam suma,i was 9 week pregnant and in my second ultra sound scan ,they found E/o chorio-amniotic separation noted with anechoic collection with echogenic strands between the chorinic and amniotic sac measuring approximately 15cc ,can u please help me

Hi,
I understand your concern.
Your ultrasound scan shows separation of chorionic villi.. ( chorionic villi serve purpose of connecting with mother's body & get nutrition, oxygen & hormones for fetal growth ... after 12 weeks this work is taken over by placenta ).. This has lead to blood collection in uterine cavity & also around fetal sac. IT is a considerable amount of bleeding.. which is suggestive of threatened abortion( possibility of abortion ).
This can happen due to deficiency of hormones/ fall/ trauma.
You should take bed rest. Try to consult your doctor & start with treatment right away.Earlier the treatment more are the chances of saving baby.
