my daughter is 19 years old ,since one weak ago complain of pain at her thyroid site .....neck ultrasound done show heterogeneous echo pattern of the thyroid gland with multiple innumerable diffuse small nodules associated with increase vascularity of the thyroid gland. heterogeneous nodular thyroid gland suggestive of multinodular thyroids disease no element of thyroiditis what that s mean

she is probably suffering from multinodular goitre that develops due to deficiency of thyroid hormones. you need to get thyroid function tests done if t3,t4 are low and tsh is high,it indicates goitre. the outcome of disease is good. she need to take thyroid supplementations. fine needle biopsy can be done of the nodules to rule out any neoplastic changes
