What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Hello doctor, my frnd was diagonised with trisomy 21 with the initial blood report, but today her obestric scan report says aminotic fluid is adeuate and none of the major anomilies can be seen in ultra sound . What does it means?is everything normal?will she deliver a normal baby or still any abnormality with baby can be there?plz advise

trisomy 21 is a genetic abnormality and if it is found in screening then your doctor should go for confirmatory test like amniocentesis or chorionic villi sampling in first to second trimester.usually if the diagnosis is confirm then such pregnancies are terminated because it has. o cure.the child ll be with low iq and with delayed physical developments.you have nt mentioned which trimester your friend is in,also what tests your doctor has performed.i think its better to talk to your doctor and confirm what exactlythe reports said.if it is sure trisomy21 ,then baby wont be normal.so consult the doctor and talk
