General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since the USG detects subchorionic blood collection along with viable fetus of 8 weeks 6 days, your wife needs to be in bed rest, avoid standing for a long time, avoid doing any heavy work (washing clothes, etc), avoid exercise & avoid sex.

Pregnancy with subchorionic hematoma & bleeding PV is indicative of the risk of miscarriage or threatened abortion during the first 20 weeks of gestation. However, it does not mean that pregnancy will fail.

With treatment & monitoring, patients do deliver healthy babies. Stay connected with your treating doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
