Hi,

Thanks for writing to HCM.

Since you are giving history of unprotected sex, it always carries a risk for you to get pregnant. However, your pregnancy test indicates negative.

Norethisterone tablets (Norgest 5mg) belong to a group of medicines called progestogens. It is used to postpone the periods. Since you have taken it for 5 days, you should get your periods within next week. But remember it is not a contraceptive pill.

From your ultrasound report, it is difficult to comment about you being pregnant or not as it does not describe anything about contents in uterine cavity.

It only says that endometrial thickness is 15mm, and thus it needs to be presumed that there is no gestational sac. Your ovaries are normal with small follicles. With this finding, it could be commented that probably you will get your periods soon and the next cycle continues.

Hope the information provided is useful. Wish you all the best.
