What Does This Test Result Showing Rare Skin Flora Indicate?
I was just diagnosed with cellulitis and lymphedema on my lower legs. There was clear fluid exuding from my leg in one area. the test has come back rare skin flora . What is rare skin flora and can is cause any symptoms like redness, pain, swelling and heat?

welcome to hcm ..as the skin has some bacteria on it which are there in healthy conditions as staphylococus ..there are some common bacterial flora and some are rare means found only in a few persons ..your microbiologist is pointing towards this ..and yes these normal flora may cause problem in case person is diabetic or on drugs as steriod or pregnancy ..and as a infection causing agent may cause symptoms as redness heat etc
