What Does This Test Report Signify:placenta Is Anterior,low Lying Not Convering The OS, Placenta Is 4cm From The Pelvis, During 24 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Hi, Iam 24 weeks pregnant. I had TIFFA yesterday and is says my placenta is anterior, low lying not convering the OS. placenta is 4cm from the pelvis. Does it mean that i need to take besd rest? Is it normal to have this condition? please advise

Hi,
The placental can migrate till 28 weeks and a further test at that time will confirm the final position of placenta. You need not take bed rest. Take precautions as in any pregnancy. Please do not worry.
