What Does This Stool Test Analysis Of An Infant Indicate?
Gud day...my baby is 4mo.-old. He is weighing 7.2kilos. His fecalysis test result shows: color:yellowish green; consistency:soft; Ova of parasite: No Ova/parasite seen; pus cells: 0-2/HPF; rbc:0-3HPF; Bacteria:many. What does it mean? Can this be cured easily?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The stool analysis report of your baby states the following: 1. Colour - yellowish green seems to be normal. 2. Consistency - soft is also fine. 3. There is no presence of ova or parasite, which indicates that there is no worm infestation. 4. Microscopy showing pus cells and RBCs are normal. But since there is plenty of bacteria, it indicates that the baby might be having bacterial infection of gastrointestinal tract. This condition can be cured by medication. Kindly consult Paediatrician with the report for appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
