General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The following things can be inferred based on the semen analysis report you have furnished.
1. Volume of 2ml is normal.
2. Viscosity thick is also normal.
3. Reaction alkaline is normal.
4. Active sperms of 30% is very much less than normal. 50% sperms are dead, which is not a good sign.
5. Sperm count of 25 million/ml is slightly towards lower side of normal. 6. Pus cells and RBCs count can be considered normal.

You need to have 3 days abstinence for performing a semen analysis. Otherwise, interpretation of the report will not be proper.

From this report, it can be told that improvement is necessary with respect to sperm count and motility.

You can take medications containing Carnitine, Lipoic acid, CoQ10, Lecithin, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Selenium and Zinc every day for 3 months as they are known to provide appropriate nutrients for sperm maturity and functioning.

You can repeat semen analysis following that with 3 days of abstinence to look for improvement.

Kindly consult Infertility specialist with the report for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashakiran S,
