What Does This Results From Ultrasound And CAT Scan Indicate?

I had an ultra sound and the radiologist wanted a cat scan. The ultra sound found that I had a 5cm cyst on my right kidney and a smaller cyst on the left. The Cat scan determined that the cysts were stage 1 and that they were simple cysts. My doctor suggested a follow up scan in 6 mos. and no visit to the urologist. In April of 2014 and 2015 I had large amounts of blood in my urine and pain. I was treated both time for UTI. My doctor now thinks that the cyst may have ruptured. Do I need to see a urologist?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
It would be a good idea to see a urologist. The blood in your urine is not normal and urologists are best trained to determine the cause and any necessary treatment for this condition.
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
