What Does This Non Fasting Glucose Level Of A 3 Year Old Indicate?
my 3 year old had blood work and her non fasting glucose level was 119. she had 7 vials of blood drawn for tests and was extremely stressed. it took three of us to hold her down. is this an indication of type 1 diabetes ? also, i had gestational diabetes during my pregnancy with her.

Normal fasting blood glucose in children
Between 100 to 125 suggests: prediabetics
If fasting blood glucose >=126 mg/dl suggest diabetes.
Repeat the test after some time, test result should be confirmed second time.
So it is prediabetics:

Post parandial glucose level
Hb1AC
Plasma insulin level
to confirm the diagnosis
