What Does This Echocardiogram Report Indicate?

2.5 years ago echocardiogram report... -Mild aortic valve sclerosis -left atrium moderately dilated -physiological tricuspid regurgitation -trace/mild pulmonic regurgitation -aortic root and ascending root were dilated The summary of ECG by Dr. was... 1. Normal LV size, thickness and systolic function 2. Bicuspid aortic valve 3. No evidence of valvular aortic stenosis 4. Mild aortic regurgitation 5. aortic root and ascending root were milady dilated QUESTIONS... -How rapidly can these findings change? -Should I get another ECG asap? (I have no chest pain, ever, energy is good, you would never know anything is wrong except ECG was ordered after a heart murmur picked up 2.5 years ago at routine physical -I am going to try to get another ECG done to compare if nay changes. Should I ask for a stress test?

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, many of the times, aortic calcification is a physiologic process in aged persons with secondary EKG changes and back pressure over the atrial chambers. It is the regular and periodic evaluation with 2 D echo of the heart which is required rather than repeat EKG at this point of time.
