General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Age, gender, purpose of doing chest x-ray, any associated medical illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease not mentioned.

The given chest x-ray report seems to be normal except for 'minimal haziness at the left upper lobe' and enlarged heart.

Minimal haziness at the left upper lobe may be due to an old, healed, scar tissue or previous infections like tuberculosis or pneumonia.

There is no need to worry and it is only to clear a small doubt of anything wrong in the upper lobes.

I would recommend you to take chest x-ray with apico lordotic (ALV) view to have a proper look for any changes in the upper lobe of the lungs.

As far as an 'enlarged heart' is concerned it may be due to heart disease, high blood pressure, congenital heart disease, valvular heart disease, thyroid disease or obesity.

I advise you to consult a physician for proper clinical examination and further management depending upon the cause identified.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
