Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good Day doctors, Kindly help me on this findings: Suspicious opacity is seen in the left upper lobe. Apico-lordotic view is suggested. A subcentimeter ovoid opacity is seen in the right lower lobe. Primary considerations is granuloma. THe left costophrenic angle is slightly blunted. Consider pleural thickening versus minimal pleural effusion. Heart is not enlarged Trachea is at midline **Please correlate with clinical and other parameters. This is exactly the diagnosis, what does it mean? do i have tubercolosis or cancer?
Hi Thank you for contacting HCM. It's probably something benign (means it's not cancer) Since they have mentioned granuloma, either it is tuberculosis or it is sarcoidosis. TB usually involves the upper lung lobe while sarcoidosis can be bilateral. Anyway, you must undergo certain sputum and blood investigations to rule out TB. Consult a medical specialist or a pulmonologist for further management. Thanks
