What Does This Chest X-ray Report Indicate?
hello...my name is moses .i did and x ray chest PA and this what the doctor wrote :A hyperdense band noted near right hila, with faint patchy opacities measuring 4-5mm, suggestive old exposure to infection.the question is: 1. what is hyper dense band ? 2. is it transmissible like hypertitis B or tuberculosis? 3. what are the causes? 4. is there a treatment for the same because i full and too much acid?

The chest X-ray report needs to be evaluated with underlying symptoms of the patient, however with limited information, I can provide following guidelines:
- the Hyperdense bend indicates hyperemic tissue of lung parenchyma which usually occurs in era of bacterial or viral infection and congestion of the underlying tissue structure
- Tuberculosis or hepatitis B is not possibly showing up this pattern in chest X-ray
Any infection will be curable with precise diagnosis of lab data, culture sensitivity of sputum if any and other relevant investigations of choice as per the clinician expertise and evaluation on clinical grounds.
