sir ,recently my mother have breathing problems and she is admitted in a hospitle in my city kerala .during investigTION BY CARDIO GRAPH it was found that the mv calcified and thickned and showing subvalvular apparatus fused . now she i having medicine prescribed by the doctor and she is all right .what is the treatment for this and how much it will cost

I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the 2d echo you have mentioned.
It is showing age related changes in mitral valve.
So if she is doing good with medicines then no need to go for surgery.
Surgery (mitral valve replacement) will cost you around 1.5 lakhs.
But it is indicated only in patient when conservative treatment (medicines) does not work.
