What Does This Blood Test Report Indicate?

Hi doctor. I`m a 43 years old male, 1.80m and I`ve got my blood test done. I`ve had hepatitis when I was 18 years old. Serum bilirubin: 8umol/L Serum alkaline phosphatase: 51 u/L ALT/SGPT serum level: 91 u/L Serum albumin level: 48g/L Serum total protein level: 75g/L Serum globulin level: 27g/L Serum triglyceride levels:2.5mmol/L Serum HDL cholesterol level: 1.23mmol/L Serum LDL cholesterol level: 3.53mm/L Many thanks.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Your all blood reports are good. Only liver enzymes (SGPT) is raised.
It is not markedly raised. It is only slightly raised.
And it is mostly due to previous Hepatitis.
So I advice you to get done
1. Ultrasound examination of abdomen to rule out liver pathology (fatty liver).
2. HBsAg to rule out Hepatitis B.
Fatty liver is common after Hepatitis and it is totally benign and reversible condition. It shows similar elevation of SGPT.
So get done ultrasound examination of abdomen.
Also rule out chronic Hepatitis B infection as it also causes similar elevation of SGPT.
If both are normal then no need to worry.
