What Does This Blood Test Report Indicate?

Hi docs, i want to know what are the interpretation of the following lab results that i was taken few day ago...HBsAg = reactive, ANTI-HBS =none reactive, ANTI-HCV = nonreactive...i have also undergone this test before 2 years ago but the result is the same..my doctor says i don't need any medication since my infection is not contagious..please i need your advice...thank you.

Thanks for your question on HCM. And in my opinion your report is HBsAg positive, means you are having infection for sure. And there are three sets of antibodies antiHbE Ag, anti HBsAg Ig M and Ig G in Hepatitis B infection. All these have special importance. So you have to test for each of these antibodies.
1Anti HB e Ag suggest that you are not infectious. And the replication of virus is halted.
2. AntiHBsAg Ig M suggest recent infection.
3. AntiHBsAg Ig g suggest chronic infection
And you are infectious or not will be determined by HBeAg test. If it is positive than you are infectious.
So better to consult infectious disease specialist and discuss things with him.
