Hi...no real concern is don't understand my Abnormal score of 44 on my CBC ALT (SGPT) part of the test. AST read 32, ALK Phosphatase was 94, and Total Bilirubin was .45. All these were in reference range. The ALT range was stated at 5-41. Thoughts?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
ALT range was 41 and you hav 44 ...no problem as your other tests are normal ..now ALT OR AST are considered abnormal when these are 2 times the upper limit ...as minor increases are also seen in all infections and also as a result of drug effect ...i assume you are non alcoholic nonsmoker and not on any drug ...but be assured your liver is ok
