General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
Fibroadenoma is benign tumor of breast composed of epithelial tissue and stromal tissue. It is movable and sometime mutiple in nature.
In USG scan if vascularity has been seen with in the mass suggest the fibriadenoma.
But USG finding should be correlated with USG guided histopatholgy (fine needle aspiration cytology).
Best is excision biopsy. (biopsy should be sent after removing of lump to know the fibroadenoma or cancer).
Please consult the gynecologist/or general surgeon and he/she will advice to go for hisopatholgy.
Treatment:
best treatment is excision as it size may be increased in future as it is hormone dependent.
ormeloxifene aloso regress the lump in some case.
OCP use, exercise and fresh fruits decrease the risk of fibroadenoma.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
