What Does This Abdominal Scan Report Indicate?

Hi, I am a colon cancer mets to the lung survivor with low CEA level but intense abdominal pain. Am waiting on abdominal scan results meanwhile am wanting to know what these might indicate in my urine: Acetone +++ Epithelial cells 8-12/C Leukocites 0-2/C Many thanks.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Presence of acetone in urine occurs in diabetes mellitus, starvation, fasting.
low carbohydrate diet, high protein disease, hyperthyroidism etc.
A normal urine sample can have upto 5 leukocytes/hpf and thus 0-2 leukocytes/hpf does not indicate any disease state.
8-12 epithelial cells/hpf in urine also does not indicate any disease or abnormality.
Presence of acetone in urine is not associated with colon cancer or any of its complication.
I suggest you to consult your physician for clinical assessment and some investigations especially blood sugar.
